Thoracic arteriovenous malformations are rare. They are characterized by the anomalous union of arteries and veins without an intermediate capillary network. Most cases are asymptomatic, being an incidental finding in imaging studies, or may be associated with a wide spectrum of symptoms due to their characteristics and relationship with intrathoracic structures. They constitute a diagnostic challenge given their form of presentation and anatomical complexity, and imaging studies are essential for their characterization and therapeutic management. The aim of this article is to describe the imaging findings, as well as the management and follow-up of thoracic arteriovenous malformations.
