Abstract

Radiological findings play a fundamental role in the diagnosis of extrapulmonary tuberculosis; however, the disease’s progression and imaging patterns vary depending on the host’s immune response. Awareness of clinical manifestations, at risk populations and differential diagnoses is crucial, since the absence of active pulmonary infection or a negative tuberculin skin test does not exclude the diagnosis. This study aims to present the main imaging findings of extrapulmonary tuberculosis, organized by anatomical systems.
